Lovina Beach Hotel was the first establishment of its kind in the area. In the beginning, it was a simple lodging composed of a restaurant and three guest rooms on the beach. The original name of the beach was Pantai Kampung Baru ("pantai" means beach) and the village's was Tukadcebol (now Kaliasem). The location is very convenience just right on the bay where the calm sea hugs the shore.

A.A. NGURAH SENTANU |
When tourism flourished in Bali around 1970, the one and only destination spot in Northern Coast of Bali was Lovina. The little Lovina and the home stays were filled with visitors. The result was obvious. Many tourist facilities like hotels, restaurants and others were set up spontaneously around the villages of Kaliasem and Kalibukbuk, to accommodate the tourists.
At
that time the tourist business was new to the local people, they just
copied "Lovina". They simply think to be successful in the
tourist business they must use the name "Lovina" otherwise their
business would be out. Lovina was so overwhelming and taking in a number
of six or more "native villages", i.e. Kalibukbuk, Anturan,
Tukadmungga, Pemaron, and Temukus and of course, its birthplace Tukadcebol
(Kaliasem) bound together under the name "Lovina Beach Resort".
Until now, Lovina is still copied freely and used by the people
without knowing its origin.
Do
not be confused in times to come, when you see”Lovina" marked the
whole North Bali. Therefore,
we advise the visitors, in our humble opinions to be aware of it and
always insist upon true information regarding the place and the
accommodation you choose. Therefore, we recommend Lovina Beach Hotel.
